You may recall we mentioned the forthcoming 6TS 30th anniverary all-nighter, which is rapidly approaching and indeed, that the traditional collectalbe vinyl 45 will be given away to each attendee of the night. Well, in the nick of time, Kent is offering you the chance just about every past single on one CD – The 100 Club Anniversary Singles (6TS 1979 – 2009).
Yes, 24 of the 25 singles given away (less The Moments due to contractual reasons) are collected on one CD and according to 6TS mainman Ady Croasdell, it's a selection that's 'up there with the best original US 60s soul series on any UK label'. If you pick it up, you'll find a mix of big vintage soul dancefloor spins, some lesser-known, but equally impressive grooves and of course, this being a Kent release, sleevenotes that cover every angle. Oh yes – it even includes the giveaway at the forthcoming anniversary event.
