I went to this (big thanks to Johnny T) on Friday. What a cracking night! Big shame the Northern Soul dept upstairs got shut down thanks to Pitfield St neighbours, but downstairs was rocking all night. The Filthy Six delivered a blinding set of mod jazz which was so tightly played it was truly awesome. Despite being technically too old for such shenanigns, I found myself inevitably drawn to the dance floor for some classic ‘mad doggery’ that transported me back 25 years to the revival clubs such as Drummonds, The Bizz etc. Oh happy memories (when I could actually dance to a whole track without being out of breath…)
