This is essentially a Harrington G4, but it has been reworked for practical reasons by Baracuta as the Harrington D4.

The G4 itself is a longstanding design based on the G9, but without the ribbing at the bottom. That design has now been taken a step further thanks to a collaboration with Dainese, a high-tech bike wear company.

The result is a classic G4 with slots on the shoulders and elbows for ‘special high-tech protection units’ by Dainese, but in a classic Fraser tartan to keep you safe on a scooter or indeed any two-wheeled means of transport.

The outer shell is made of a ‘Barapel’ laminated fabric that guarantees breathability and is also waterproof up to 5000mm water columns. A Fraser Tartan lining of course, as well as zip fastening, classic two-button collar and umbrella back vent.

It’s available from Baracuta now, selling for £325.
