Barbour

Looking at first glance like a crombie, the Barbour Edward Herringbone Coat actually offers a little bit more versatility.

Made of 70 per cent wool and 30 per cent polyamide, it's a semi-tailored coat with velvet collar, Barbour jacquard lining with gold columbia stitching, single breasted front with branded buttons and set in sleeves with button detail on the cuffs.

Use with a traditional collar or you can button it up for a 'neck warmer' look when the weather gets really cold. Either way, it's a smart variation on the usual winter coats, selling for around £225.
