From Thursday until 24th January, the National Portait Gallery will host “Beatles to Bowie – The 60s Exposed” a photography exhibition focusing on Sixties pop culture in London.

Taking each year in turn, the exhibition will chart the changes in the cultural landscape and the rise of some of the era’s biggest stars. The exhibition will consist of 150 photographs by photographers such David Bailey, Gered Mankowitz and Robert Whitaker, as well as memorabilia from the period. Accompanying the exhibition will be several talks and special events, beginning on Thursday with the talk “60s Cover Girls: When Pop Met Fashion” looking at the generation of celebrity models. There are also a number of activities for children with workshops on related themes.

For full details of the exhibition, prices and times, visit the National Portrait Gallery website.
