Fancy investing in movie posters? It seems like a decent area to get into, with prices rising all the time, with the added bonus of your investment looking good on the wall in the meantime. Plenty of interesting (and cheap) finds on eBay, but if you want something with a guaranteed pedigree, check out the Christies vintage film poster auction.

All the big names are here – Bond, Blow-Up, Beatles, Get Carter, Ipcress File, French Nouvelle Vague flicks, you know the score, with prices generally from the £300 mark.

Some interesting one-offs too, including the San Francisco Film Festival poster by Saul Bass, dating back to 1961, selling with an estimate of between £500 and £700. The sale is on 23rd June 2010 and the London South Kensington salesroom. You can browse all the lots online.
