If you love your garage, you probably want to make a date in your diary for the Hipsville sixties garage weekender 2013.
It takes place at Bisley Pavillion, Bisley Camp, Queens Road, Brookwood, Woking, Surrey GU24 0NY over 10th – 12th May 2013. Accommodation is onsite if you need it, a choice of camping, cabins, lodges and a hotel. Full details of each on the website.
As for the weekend itself, there’s everything you would expect. Bands so far confirmed include The Archers, The Shook-Ups, The Hi-Class Joes, The Mentalettes, Wild Evel and the Trashbones, Les Bof, The Stags, The Norvins, King Salami and the Cumberland 3 with more to follow.
There’s also a ’60s exotica party at the Hipsville tiki bar (plus a ‘hair of the dog’ party on the Sunday), a long list of international DJs spinning the tunes, along with a cast of go-go girls throughout the weekend plus a vintage market, movie screenings and record stalls.
