93-year old David "Honeyboy" Edwards, the last remaining living original Delta bluesman, is about to embark on his final UK tour.
David Honeyboy Edwards was
a contemporary of Robert Johnson in the 1930s and legend has it he was actually present when Johnson was poisoned and murdered. In his prime he recorded for the Artist Recording Company, for Sam Phillips in Memphis, and in Chicago for Chess Records. Earlier this year he was awarded a Grammy for his services to the blues.
