Divas

Another day, another Motown collection – the latest one being Divas Of Motown.

Terrible title, but like all Motown collections, the music more than makes up for the marketing and packaging. In this case, 50 tracks of 'girl' Motown, all from the 60s and early 70s.

We've just reviewed it ahead of release. If you want to know what we think, check that review out right now.

  1. Some education my mod brothers & sisters
A diva is a celebrated female singer. The term is used to describe a woman of outstanding talent in the world of opera as the word comes from Italian vocabulary.
Bringing it up to date Beyonce has this to say about it:
Na, na, na, diva is a female version of a hustla
Of a hustla, of a, of a hustla
Na, na, na, diva is a female version of a hustla
Of a hustla, of a, of a hustla
As David said the artwork is not all that, and soul collectors should have this collection already. Passing this music to the next generation is our responsibility. If your kids are listing to RnB like Beyonce who is pushing herself away from the phrase Diva, may be educate them with the outstanding female talent on this 50 track CD.
    Keep the groove alive
