Chavo

Classic boogaloo recorded in 2010? That's what you get with the Hit The Boogaloo 45 by El Chavo.

Produced by legendary jazz DJ & producer Paul Murphy, it's an update of that classic Latin-based dancefloor sound and a take on Tito Puente's Hit The Bongo. The reverse is the Lonnie Smith Acid Jazz classic Hola Muneca.

You can hear the track right here and you can order it now on 45 for 8 Euros.

  1. Great stuff! There are a few oldschool-style boogaloo bands doing it in the States, like Spanglish Fly in NYC and the Boogaloo Assassins in LA.
