LIVE:

JAKE VEGAS and his MONKEYS UNCLE Orchestra

Jake and his band tightened their act beyond all the competition through entertainin g the patrons every single Friday night at the sadly no more basement den of traditional Soho Sleaze which was the BLACK GARDENIA club. It's a pleasure to welcome them back to a similar locality and surrounding s, surely their natural habitat! Joining them on stage for a number or two will be the very alluring Miss LUNA ROSA.

Guest DJ BEN OLINS of the Soho institution that is the Stag O Lee Preservatio n Society along with the highly recommended monthly shindig The Fabulous Cellar joins LIAM LARGE, MICHAEL J and SNAKESTER to play the hottest, rowdiest selection of original R&B 45's in the City!

New Jukebox Jam 45rpm Reissues should FINALLY be ready! Apologies for the delays, circumstanc es beyond our control and all that...

FRIDAY 30th JULY at PETER PARKERS

4 Denmark St
London WC2H 8LP

9pm til 3am

ADM: £4 before 10pm / with Juke Jam Badge or £6 thereafter / otherwise

Yes, will be great to catch up!  Cheesy

Incidentall y, after many months falling victim to the crumbling vinyl manufacturi ng industry, I finally have a small handful of copies of release 10 available for pre-sale tonight. I don't know when the rest of them will be made or sold and I can't tell you when numbers 8 and 9 will be finished, but I am just happy to have something, anything to offer up after a barren couple of months...

Oh yeah, it is Larry Dale - Down To The Bottom, a never before issued on vinyl rollicking Rhumba Blues Romper, and you can hear it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWEVkWI-xfc

... and buy it exclusively at the night tonight.

Well, after a very slow start, it filled out to be a really good night, great set from Monkey's Uncle and Luna Rosa, with an added impromptu guest spot from Paloma Faith, and Ben played a cracking selection after the band... Pics and perhaps even low res video to follow!

Oh, and nice to see Alice down there from round these parts, dunno if anyone else made it?

Wanted to come down last night, but as luck wouldn't have it, I had a gruelling day at work yesterday, followed by getting up early today to move house... which I still haven't finished. Staying in tonight too. Great. My work life balance is seriously out of kilter...
