Home Bargains (discount shop) have got re issued copies of

Len Deightons "Action Cook Book" for 99p.

Well worth it for under a pound!

Just picked one up in teh Leeds City Centre branch

Tiss a nice little book. Well worth 99p.

Ours lass is out tonight with her mates, and I was going to use one of the recipes to make myself a meal, then thought f**k it "take away" it is.

my missus has just rung and proclaimed she wants hot dogs.....so hot dogs it is lol.

Just reading how he cooks rice, makes me laugh - "add saffron if you are rich or turmeric to pretend you are rich"  Cheesy

some of the text is excellent reading and I really like the illustratio ns - he really is a talented fellow

To be honest I am four bottles of real ale down with six to go. Book has been put on the "will read tomorrow pile".

I agree totally a thoroughly enjoyable read & educational as well

I particularl y enjoyed his guide to how much booze to buy for a 4 hour party - 1 & 1/2 pints of beer per person if it's beer only - but 12 bottles of spirits & 144 mixers for 10 people if drinking the hard stuff  Shocked
