If you happen to be in the east London area, you might want to pop in and see the upcoming Glasgow Mods photography exhibition by Lisa Boyd.

It only runs for a short time, from 12th – 16th June, so not long to catch it. But if you are around, you’ll find it at London Free Range, The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane.

The large scale prints are part of an Edinburgh Napier University, with Lisa’s strand focusing not just on the Glasgow mod scene, but including the people who have been mainstays of the mod scene for some years – some who were even part of the scene’s early years. It’s something of a contrast from the usual stylised ‘youth’ images that many photographers go for these days.

You can preview some of the images on the Free Range site and you can find out more about Lisa here.
