Kinks

Neal McCullough of Hand Drawn Creative has just produced a piece of art that might be of interest to you – this God Save The Kinks screenprint.

This is the first of three screenprints inspired by the band, this one using a Herb Lubalin typeface for the slogan, followed by up by the complete lyrics from the ‘Village Green Preservation Society’ tune in a Trade Gothic font. All of it on a ‘ketchup red’ background.

You can see a close-up shot over the page. Only fifteen of these 500 x 700mm (19.7 x 27.5″) prints have been made, all hand-printed on 220gsm cream Fabriano stock. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist, selling for $45 (£28.18) on Etsy. Note that each print is rolled in a protective sheet of tissue and packed in a robust tube for delivery (UK £3/elsewhere £5).
