Summer

Thanks to Quiet Earth for flagging up a movie in production now and heading your way in 2010 – Here Comes The Summer.

Written and directed by former music journalist Ron Scalpello and set in 1981, Here Comes The Summer focuses on Paul, a rude boy approaching is 18th birthday. But at the same time, a local skinhead gang attack and disfigure one of Paul's mates – leading to one gang facing off with another. Paul is blamed for the violence and starting the riot, so he's being hunted by both skinheads and police during a very long night.

Any good? Who knows, but we'll no doubt all find out when it hits the big screen (via Optimum) next year. Every chance of a decent soundtrack though. See a 'background movie' at production company Molotov's site below.
