This is a bit confusing. We saw a Small Faces website launch in the UK, but now there’s a worldwide Immediate Records site. But with more Small Faces.

The site seems to be for everyone except people in the UK, but with a couple of juicy snippets that apply to everyone.

First up, there are details of some Record Store Day-only releases, specifically, limited edition reissues of Tin Solder and Itchycoo Park, couple with I Feel Much Better and I’m Only Dreaming respectively. Both are available in any participants in Record Store Day (with limited edition picture postcards) on April 21st, while stocks last.

Also mentioned is a limited edition vinyl reissue of Ogdens Nut Gone Flake, via the Charly label. It’s not down as being available mail order to the UK, although the site does point you to a UK retailer bizarrely.

The new version was cut from an original analogue master tape on a Neumann VMS 80 mastering lathe during February 2012 under the supervision of Kenney Jones. The album is on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl, with the original style of circular packaging, along with a 4 page 12-inch round booklet, a heavyweight plastic sleeve and an individually-numbered certificate (there are 3000 available). It sells for £20 from here.

Finally, the site has an Immediate Records t-shirt, which might appeal to some and will be running a series of video interviews with Kenney Jones. The first of those is below, with others to follow in the coming weeks.

The site is at Immediate Records, if you want a browse.

  1. I own a copy of Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake that I bought new in the US in the early 1970s. It is one of my favorite albums.
