Sadly, we've just been told of the death of Johnny Moke, aged just 64.

Moke (real name John Rowley) was a prime mover in the early 60s mod scene, later becoming a leading fashion designer and retailer, as well as being one of the main contributors to Richard Barnes' classic Mods book.

    i own 2 pairs of Johnny Moke shoes and have been trying to find him since his shop in the Kings Road shut down and now i know,what a shame,a true original,I will to continue to wear my shoes with pride and respect
