Boogaloo

When a series hits volume 5, you can guess it's going down well, so there's sure to be plenty of takers for Let's Boogaloo volume 5, released by Record Kicks.

Jazzman Records Gerald Short is the compiler this time, mixing deep funk, rare soul, modish-R&B and jazzy 45s, culled mainly from the 1960s and 70s, but with a few new productions thrown in that fit the vibe.

Check out the Record Kicks site for a full tracklisting and to hear samples of all the tunes. You can also buy it on LP and CD from there from the release date of 19th April 2010 or via Amazon, which is selling the album on LP and CD for £13.99 and £11.99 respectively.
