Big thanks to Phil Tarry for flagging up Modernist Revival by Jonathan Mortimer, which is a limited edition release via Cafe Royal Books.

To be honest, book might be talking it up a little. It looks more like a fanzine or magazine to beg honest, a 28-page publication described as a black and white digital edition of just 150, sized at 14 x 20cm.

As for the photos, I guess at late ’90s, but Mark Raison points out more specifically that it is likely to be the Gijon mod rally of 1999, which featured The Action as the live band.

With just 150 being printed, it could be a future collector’s piece and at £5, it’s not a great deal of money to buy. See all the images on the publisher’s website.
