Spector

An interesting title from Helter Skelter is soon to hit the market – Little Symphonies: A Phil Spector Reader.

It claims to be a collection of the best articles, reviews and essays about the legendary 'Wall of Sound' producer and current inmate of a Californian jail. He's also getting the biopic treatment soon, so a good opportunity to do background reading ahead of some fault finding.

Writers featured include Nik Cohn, Jann Wenner, Dave Marsh, Barney Hoskyns and Richard Williams, with a mix of new interviews and previously unpublished writings about Spector’s production techniques and his artists also included. There's also rare pictures, printed ephemera and a selection of appendices for even more reading. Not out until March, but you can pre-order now for £8.99 if you like to think ahead.
