Remember Enamel Verguren's This Is A Modern Life? It was (and is if you can find one) a record of London mod scene of the late 70s and 80s using cuttings, photos, flyers and comment. It made our top five mod books and should be followed very soon by a volume two (I'm Not Like Everybody Else), which takes in the decade from 1989 to 1999 and should be available on 9th December 2009. But before that, there's the 2010 Mod Chronicles calendar.

Manu has taken 12 of the best images from volumes 1 and 2 and produced a very special calendar of them, which pretty much screams 'Christmas gift' and as a side benefit, should support the printing costs of the second volume.

There's no online buying details as yet, but if you want to grab one, you can email the author at [email protected] to secure one (which will also cost you £7.50, payment details by emailing him). Or you can get yourself down to the calendar launch this Thursday (22nd October 2009) at the Gloucester Arms, 59-61 Leighton Road, Kentish Town, London NW5 2QH. Entry is free, with the event running from 6pm until 11pm.
