Mods! on BBC Radio Four

I’m not a regular listener to Radio Four, but I’ll make an exception on Saturday 9th February for Mods!

I don’t know much in the way of detail (although I suspect it’s the show that was being put together over Christmas – they got in touch with the site but I didn’t have time to help out). So I’ll just have to list what it says on the website:

"A look back at the Mod movement of the 1960s, featuring a mix of archive, music, original interview and narrative." Although Barry (our TV.radio previewer) says it includes "1960s news reports that are spliced around archive interviews with original mods and a soundtrack provided by the Who, Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames and Jimmy James and the Vagabonds. "

Sounds interesting – you’ll be able to tune in at 8pm on the Saturday, either on your radio or online.

Additional information:

I’ve just been informed that this was actually written by Eddie Piller and is narrated by Phil Daniels. Certainly one to record.
