If you haven’t heard The 45s, you should. Because there’s every chance they could be huge this time next year.

Rather like The Strypes, this Carlisle-based band are starting young (all the band are 16) and already making a mark with their old school rhythm and blues grooves, having recently supported Wilko Johnson on his farewell tour. Check out the clip of Devil of a Woman below – the guitarist looks to have picked up a few tips from there.

Another clip is also below, which is called Number 34 and if you want to see those tracks (and more) live, the band will be playing alongside Miss Hoodoo and the Delta Boys at Zoo Zoo!, which is at the Blues Kitchen, Camden Town. NW1 7JN on Friday 26th July.

It is free entry before 9.30pm/£4 after, with DJ Dr Robert bringing you the finest Rhythm & Blues, Garage, Club Soul, and Rock n Roll until 3am.

Oh yes, check out the band’s Facebook page here. A single is coming too, probably in the autumn.
