Remember we featured the God Save The Kinks print by Neal McCullough of Hand Drawn Creative last month? Well, as we mentioned then, it was the first in a series, the second of which has now been released – Victoria.
This is the second of three Kinks themed screenprints, the third of which will be Waterlool Sunset, likely to land next month. But let's focus on this one first, designed using Herb Lubalin's Avant Garde typeface and detailing Ray Davies' complete lyrics from the song in a Trade Gothic font. All of that on a bold purple background.
Like its predecessor, there only fifteen of these 500 x 700mm (19.7" x 27.5") prints, hand-printed on 220gsm cream Fabriano stock. Each print is numbered and signed by the Artist. The first one sold out in days, so don't hang about – it's for sale on Etsy for $45.00 (approx. £28.50) Each print is rolled in a protective sheet of tissue and packed in a robust tube for delivery (UK £3/elsewhere £5).
