It didn’t last long on the BBC’s iPlayer catch-up service and if you lived outside the UK, you probably couldn’t see it at all. But thanks to YouTube, everyone can watch Timeshift – Mods, Rockers and Bank Holiday Mayhem either for the first time or again and again.

The BBC doesn’t usually do bad documentaries as this one-hour programme shows. If you missed our preview, this looks at the mods and rockers riots of 1964 with more rationality than the media of the day.

It looks at the era that created the mods and rockers, talks to the people who were part of those scenes back in the day and examines just why the youth of the era behaved that way and the impact it had on both scenes in the longer term. Archive footage aplenty, naturally.

It doesn’t look to have been officially uploaded onto YouTube, so you’ll have to watch it in instalments. However, we have loaded them all up below to save you hunting around for each of the four parts. If we see a complete version, we’ll replace with it.

Alternatively, watch on the YouTube site.
