Got some time to kill? Well, here’s a great way to kill it – by reading the mod-themed online graphic novel, going by the name of Getting Grand – Memories of a Smalltown Mod.

It’s the work of Tobias Dahmen,  loosely based on his own upbringing in a small town in Germany from around 1985 and not a million miles away from Dave Gibbons’ comic strip mod book The Originals. Tobias’ aim with this project was to cover different elements of the subculture, including mod, skinhead, scooterboy and ‘neo-mod’, with small ‘documentaries’ at the beginning of each chapter.

The entire work will be about 400 pages in length, then released as a book, but in the meantime, you can catch up with the series so far, which has now reached 108 pages.

You can find it at the Smalltown Mod website. Feel free to leave some feedback below.
