We’ll have a review soon enough, but if you want to dive in, the King New Breed R&B Volume 2 album is out now on Ace.

Following on from the hugely successful first volume of classic R&B sounds, the new one has 24 more cuts, compiled by Ady Croasdell. As you might expect, it’s a mix of known names and lesser-known gems, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Freddy King and Little Willie John from the former, with Billy Conn, Dolph Prince and Teddy Humphries making up some of the latter. Some new discoveries too, as you would expect from Ace.

Full tracklisting below, with the album available now for £10.38 at Amazon.
