Pama International: tour and new album

by Modculture 15 February, 2008

The soul and reggae influenced outfit Pama International release their 5th studio album ‘Pama Intl Love Filled Dub Band’ on Rockers Revolt on the 25th February.Pama_intl

Making music which they themselves describe as ’21st Century roots, rockers
& reggae, soul-fueled and dub-induced’, Pama
Intl draw from King Tubby, Black Ark, and Stax Records to great effect, and have quite rightly built up quite a following in the last few years. Alongside all Pama Intl’s usual suspects this new LP features guest
appearances from heavyweights like Rico Rodriguez, Sir Horace Panter (Specials), Michie
One and Paul Heskett (Swinging Cats).

In support of the album the band are touring the UK this month, finishing with a special extended show at London’s Koko with very special guests (including members of Madness). The tour dates are:
Bath Moles (23rd February)
Norwich Waterfront  (27th)

Oxford Academy (28th)

Milton Keynes The Pitz (29th)
Exeter Phoenix (1st March)
Glasgow Arches (7th)
Edinburgh The GRV (8th)
Newcastle The Cluny (9th)
London KOKO (12th)
