Thanks to Paul Wright for letting me use a couple of his superb images from his Mods 1979-1980 Flickr set.

Of course, you’ll need to go visit that Flickr set for all of the others. You should too, because they really are superb. The images are candid snaps of early mods around London, live gigs and some memorabilia from ‘back in the day’ – with a ‘famous’ face even sneaking into the frame.

Yes, Mick Talbot, originally of the Merton Parkas and later of the Style Council (and now Dexy’s) is one of the people caught on camera – in fact, he’s in at least two of the shots.
