First seen as rather cool wall signs, Sir Peter Blake’s I Love London and I Love Recycling design has been turned into large metal prints in very limited numbers – which could make them very shrewd investments.

Printed onto recycled tin (to fit in with the theme), each one is signed and numbered by the artist, with the London print limited to 75, while the Recycling print is in a run of just 25, both sized at 62 x 81cm – the largest tin prints Blake has ever produced, much bigger than the classic Babe Rainbow for example.

Both are available to pre-order now for £895 each, with sales commencing on 17th July. Indeed, purchasers who are able to get to London W1 on Saturday 17th July, can collect their print and meet Sir Peter Blake (1.30pm – 4pm) at A&D Gallery who will be displaying an exhibition of 12-inch record sleeves by Sir Peter, as well as showing other items from Urban Remade (the people behind the prints).

The first 75 people to reserve a copy of the limited edition prints will also receive a free copy of the artist’s latest book ‘Design: Peter Blake’, which is published by the Antique Collectors Club.
