The title might not sound appealing, but the Plectrum Live Edition at Tate Modern is actually an interesting sounding event.
Joe Boyd, Nigel Waymouth, Jill Kennington and Delisia Howard are in conversation with Guy Sangster Adams, talking about the 'romanticism running through fashion, music, art, and design, in 1960s London, from the Kings Road to UFO, from Granny Takes a Trip to Biba'.
If you didn't know, Joe Boyd is the music and film producer and co-founder of UFO (as well as the author of White Bicycles), Nigel Waymouth is co-founder of Granny Takes a Trip and one half of Hapshash and the Coloured Coat, Jill Kennington was Vogue's 'face of 1963' and 'pure 1966', and Delisia Howard was head of Biba cosmetics and household, as well as Biba in-house model, from 1968 until the closing of Big Biba in 1975.
It takes place on Friday 3rd December 2010 from 7pm – 8pm at the Clore Auditorium, Tate Britain, Millbank, London SW1P 4RG. Tickets are free and will be available from the Clore Gallery reception in Tate Britain from 6pm on the evening of the event.
