The title pretty much sums up the content of this Spotify playlist – Garage!

By garage, we mean of the US, mid-60s variety, give or take a couple of years. Using the Nuggets album as the inspiration (and a little artistic licence), we’ve pulled together just over 50 garage tracks that should give you more than a thorough introduction to the sound and the bands.

But if that’s not enough, more tracks will be added over time. If you have Spotify, check it out below or subscribe to it.

    Excellent playlist, and appropriate for the Sonics to start it off… they’re back in the UK in Nov.
    Two of my faves didnt make it into the 50;
    so here’s another 10% -
    Nobody’s Children – Good Times. I thought I’d found the holygrail of garage punk when I heard it.
    The Haunted – 125
    Breakers – Don’t Send Me No Flowers I Ain’t Dead Yet 
    13th Floor Elevators – You’re Going To Miss Me
    The Marauders – Out Of Sight Out Of Mind.
    And
    The Litter desreve to be in there twice; but there is a great version of Action Woman by The Elektras so we could swap that and a really pulsating take of Mona by The Teddy Boys (dreadful name excellent sound) 

    Anyone else got any additions to suggest?
