When I flagged up the Beatfreak! album earlier, it started a train of thought around the Particles label which eventually led to this Piccadilly Sunshine Spotify playlist.

Basically , I’ve been looking around to see if any of the past Particles output is on Spotify – and some of it is. The best represented is the Piccadilly Sunshine series of albums, which actually ran for am amazing 20 volumes.

Most of those are up on Spotify right now, but with two exceptions. There doesn’t seem to be volume 14, nor does the final (volume 20) album appear. But the rest are there and now in the playlist below.

That’s a total of 340 songs from the pop psych series, which pulls together lesser known tunes from the late 1960s. Of course, that means there’s a bit of hit and miss going on, but it’s an interesting series overall. Do check it out if you have Spotify.

If you haven’t or you want to check out the missing volumes, all are available on Amazon to buy.
