Fans of Steve McQueen will probably want to add the Unseen McQueen book by Barry Feinstein to their Christmas list.

Published by Reel Art Press and available from 21st November 2013, this 128-page book features some amazing images of Steve McQueen taken by photography legend Barry Feinstein. They capture the iconic actor at the race track, on the set of Bullitt and relaxing with friends, images that have remained completely unseen until now – but are reproduced for the first time in this book.

Feinstein was apparently a close friend of McQueen’s and as such, he was a man who could get up-close and get the relaxed shots. Judging by the shots here, taken between 1960 and 1968, it shows.

The book is edited by Dagon James and Tony Nourmand and available to pre-order now at Amazon.co.uk, selling for a discounted £13.37.
