Not just a coffee table book, Jazz Covers is an excellent resource for the world of jazz from the 1940s to the 1990s.

As the name suggests, this is very much about the album sleeve – a number of cool and classic sleeves are featured here, along with fact sheets listing performer and album name, art director, photographer, illustrator, year, label, and more. But that’s not all – there’s also a number of special features including top-10 favorite records lists by the likes of King Britt, Michael McFadden, Gilles Peterson, Andre Torres, and Rainer Trüby, plus interviews with some of the leading personalities.

Published by Taschen and packing in 496 pages, it sells for £24.99.
