Festival

Not connected with the forthcoming Wayne Hemingway event, The Festival of Vintage is a new event that claims to be a huge vintage-themed shopping event, with some entertainment thrown into the mix too.

It takes place at York Racecourse on 30th April 2010, said to be a mix of vintage entertainment and vintage market, focusing on the 1930s to the 1960s. Which means vintage music, styling and dancing from past decades, with fashion displays, make-up tips, classic cars and more. You're also encouraged to dress up in your favourite period gear.

All of that is just a backdrop to the main event, with over 100 'specially selected' vintage dealers from across the UK selling everything from frocks to kitchenware and toys to radios. There will also be clubs, books and magazines plus various vintage experts on hand throughout the day. It runs from 10am- 5pm, entry is £4 for adults and under 16 are free.
