A bit last minute with this, but if you are free and in London this Thursday, you can check out The Flipside presents The Sorcerers.

If you’ve not heard of it before, check out the trailer below – or let us tell you that it’s one of those swinging London horrors, this one dating from 1967. It’s also notable for being one of just a few movies directed by Michael ‘Witchfinder General’ Reeves, before he committed suicide and features Boris Karloff in one of his last roles.

It’s essentially about ‘man about town’ ’60s hipster Mike Roscoe (Ian Ogilvy), who is duped into a mind control technique, which means an elderly couple can live out his teen life – and much more besides.

The screening is at NFT1 on Thursday 5th April at 8:45pm, with Benjamin Halligan, Michael Reeves’ biographer, introducing the screening. The support is Intrusion, a rare, short, silent amateur thriller, also featuring Ogilvy, shot by Reeves early in his career.

Tickets are still available from here, but check out the trailer below.
