Right now, there’s a Return of the Rudeboy exhibition taking place at Somerset House and alongside it, a number of mini events. A screening of The Harder They Come is just one of them.

The reggae classic stars Jimmy Cliff as aspiring musician Ivanhoe Martin (Jimmy Cliff), who heads to Kingston to make his name. It doesn’t quite work out that way, but his name is actually made when he slips into the world of crime – and of course, it’s never going to end well.

A gritty classic with a superb soundtrack(Cliff himself, Desmond Dekker and Toots and the Maytals), you can see it on a large screen at the screening room at Somerset House on Thursday 31st July 2014. After the screening, Don Letts will be hosting a Q&A session around it.

£15 gets you in – but tickets are limited.
