I’m sure someone will correct me on this, but I have a feeling that The Who by Marcus Hearn is a reissue. If it is, this is an all-new hardback edition.

The book is a photo collection of the band, with around half of the images culled from the 1960s, the rest from the ’70s and onwards, the last capturing the remnants of the band in 2005. If that sounds a bit ‘run of the mill’, there are a number of photos here that are exclusive to the 165-page book, which is likely to be the big selling point.

Well, that and the quality of the images – 160 in total – derived from original photos and negatives and where possible, in full colour.

If you are a fan of the band, it’s likely to appeal. if not…well, it’s not. The book is out in a couple of weeks via Titan Books, with Amazon doing it discounted for £10.30.
