50 years of The Who is celebrated at The Who Writer’s Literary Event in London in November.

Essentially this is authors talking about their books on The Who. So if you are a fan of the band, it is well worth popping along to.

The authors taking part are:

Richard Barnes (The Who – Maximum R&B)
Tony Fletcher (Dear Boy – The Life of Keith Moon)
Mark Blake (Pretend You’re In A War: The Who And The Sixties)
Peter ‘Dougal’ Butler (Full Moon)
Chris Charlesworth (The Who: The Illustrated Biography, Townshend: A Career Biography and The Complete Guide to the Music of The Who)
Ben Marshall (The Who: The Official History)
Ian Snowball (Keith Moon – There Is No Substitute Due out 2016)
Simon Wells (Quadrophenia a Way of Life – Inside the Making of Britain’s Greatest Youth Film)

The event runs from 12 – 6pm and is described as a ‘fast paced, vibrant and unpretentious event’. The authors are all from different standpoints and backgrounds but for one afternoon only, will come together to offer their valued opinions on The Who.

Each author speaks for 30 minutes in a Q&A style with an interviewer about their chosen book and the audience gets to hear rare insights into one of the most important bands the world has ever seen.

It takes place atThe Cockpit, Gateforth Street, Marylebone, London NW8 8EH on Saturday 21st November 2015. Tickets are £15 and are available here.
