This week’s NME goes mod

I’ve not seen it, as I don’t think it is out until tomorrow (Wednesday), but it looks like this week’s NME has a mod theme.

That’s what I can gather from this cover, which has just appeared online. It promises an exclusive interview with Roger Daltrey on the Quadrophenia live shows, with a vintage snap of the band on the cover. There is a snippet of that interview here.

Also, if you can see that top corner (I had to zoom in for it), you also get ‘Miles Kane & Kasabian’s Mod Guide’. No, I didn’t know Kasabian had anything to do with mod either, but that’s what the feature is claiming, along with a quote that ‘good fitted trousers are your starting point’.

Anyway, I’ve not personally looked at the printed NME for years, but I might nip into the newsagents for a flick through the pages tomorrow to see if it’s worth the cover price.
