Now this does look like turning up for. The Sundance London 2014 event has confirmed that it will host the premiere of the Lambert & Stamp documentary. For Who fans, it’s probably a must see.

According to the official write-up, Lambert & Stamp charts the ‘crazy, chaotic gospel of chance’, as Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert set out to search for a subject for an underground movie. It lead them to discover, mentor, and manage The Who and ‘create rock ‘n’ roll history’.

The documentary focuses on an extended interview with Chris Stamp, supplemented by interviews with Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, throwing in some archival footage too. The end result is described as ‘the surprising ride of two men who shaped one of the most exciting bands in world music’, creating ‘a sound and look defined a generation’.

Frustratingly, there seems to be little else online right now – no trailer, no website etc. Which suggests things might not be quite at the finished stage yet. We’ll update as soon as we spot a trailer.

Anyway, all will be done and dusted by 25 – 27 April 2014, which is when Sundance London takes place at the O2 in London. You can buy ticket packages for that event right now, which seems to be the only way to buy tickets at present.
