If you want to live out a movie fantasy, you can do just that – by bidding on a replica of Jimmy’s scooter from Quadrophenia.

An original sold at Bonhams back in 2008 for £36,000, which obviously included a premium for being in the movie. This one doesn’t have the same provenance and as such, has a much lower guide price.

But it’s still unlikely to go cheap. The scooter is a 1966 LI 125, which jas been given the full treatment to look exactly like the movie scoot. In fact, you can do a quick comparison with the original one to see just how impressive the detailing is here.

Not much detail is given by Bonhams as yet, aside from the fact that the guide price is between £10,000 and £12,000 and that the auction (The Beaulieu Sale, Collectors’ Motor Cars, Motorcycles & Automobilia sale) takes place at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu on 6th September 2014 at 11am if you want to bid.

Of course, you can register to leave an absentee bid if you can’t get down.

Note that if you want to customise your own and get a scooter for much less, you can always pick up a Lambretta Li 125 on eBay.
