Looking for a vintage hairstyle, but not quite sure how to go about it? You need Vintage Hairstyling: Retro Styles With Modern Techniques by Lauren Rennells.

The 2nd edition is now available, coming in at 200 pages, covering a range of retro styles from the 1930s right up to the 1960s. Which means early 30s and 40s examples like  spit curls and the 'happy pomp' (as seen on the cover) through to the classic Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's 'do and the beehive from the 1960s. There are step-by-step instructions for every style, along with some added tips on accessorising with scarves, flowers, snoods and hats, along with advice on how to achieve vintage make-up looks.
