I don’t always see a high street range with designs like this, so worth flagging up the 1960s dresses by Dawn O’Porter X Joanie.

Now especially, as they are currently being offered at 25 per cent off the list price. Just go to the checkout and add the code PARTY25, and you’ll get the money off these and anything else on the site. But only until 12th December.

Essentially, 1960s dresses tend to be the domain of small makers and sellers. I did a round-up some time back of some of the best out there when it comes to 1960s dress designs if you want to check that out.

But the high street does occasionally come good too. And this is one of those instances, a collaboration with Dawn O’Porter in conjunction with retailer Joanie, which does offer the occasional retro design in its range,

Not the first time Dawn O’Porter has gone down this route. You might recall some popular 1960s designs at Bob some years back. But this is a more extensive range that covers designs inspired by the 1960s and 1970s. Although, for obvious reasons, I’m focusing on the 1960s designs here.

The new selection is described as paying ‘homage to some of her favourite vintage eras and pieces’ featuring prints inspired by the ’60s and ‘70s. And they’re not badly priced either, as you might expect from a high street range. Certainly cheaper than some I have featured on these pages in the past.

Good for going out, good for work, good for any occasion really. You can check out the range on the site if you want to, but I’ve picked out a few designs to give you an idea of what it’s all about.

At the top of the page is the Bellini Cat Print Shift Dress, a ‘60s-inspired A-line mini dress featuring an all-over black and white cat print against a retro mustard background. A big range of sizes (like all the designs) and selling for £60.

Working down the page, we have the Julep Knitted Mini Scooter Dress, a retro collared ‘Mod-style scooter dress’ selling for £60. Below it is the Appletini Paisley Print Mini Dress, made from a super-soft Organic Cotton blend and with a paisley pattern. £55 for that.

The Mojito Floral Print A-Line Mini Dress is an A-Line mini dress with an all-over retro floral check design. £55 is the price. The Pisco Geometric Print A-line Mini Dress is an A-line shift dress with a geometric pattern, also selling for £55.

Obviously, knock 25 per cent off all of those prices. You can check all the range out on the Joanie website.
