Far Afield is a label I have featured in the past, as it does have a knack for creating lovely knits and button-down shirts. But it isn’t a Mod label and a lot of its output probably wouldn’t work as Mod designs. Like many labels, it’s about finding the items that do create the look.

Like this one, for example. There’s something of a Goodfellas look about the knits, if you know what I mean. And if that look appeals to you, check out the knits worn in the Goodfellas movie that were recently reproduced by Scott Fraser Collection. Although the latter are much more on the premium side, price-wise.

These are similar and offered in two shades of brown. Both are made of 100 percent organic cotton. They have a multi-stripe front, full-button fastening, and a good-sized collar.

It works on its own or as a layer when the weather gets a touch colder. It is certainly a good-looking thing however you wear it. Both colours originally sold for £100, but there’s 20 percent off now, with the sale price at £80.
