If you don’t know anything about Dr Watson Shoemaker then there’s a great place to start. A while back, I did an extensive interview with the label, which is actually just one man – Ivan. It’s very much a labour of love rather than a big concern.

He produces some stunningly high-quality shoes with the kind of attention to period detail that you don’t find from many others around right now. If you want to know just how much, please do have a look at that interview, which has all the background.

But if you like the look of their cord shoes, read on, as they are already selling through in some sizes and will not be around forever.

Take your pick from two colours – a brown and a beige – with both sharing a similar 1960s silhouette and both limited editions. Handmade with a cord upper, leather sole, six metal eyelets and brown laces.

Not cheap at £118.82 a pair, but these are handmade and there aren’t many around.

Do have a look at the rest of the range too, which constantly changes as most designs do tend to be limited editions. And for that reason, if you see something that catches your eye, maybe jump on it before someone else gets in there first.
