Not a ‘Mod’ label as a rule when it comes to clothing, but this Adidas half-zip wool cycling top really does stand out.
Saying that, Adidas does make some interesting clothing as well as classic trainers. I remember when they put out a good-looking Harrington Jacket a few years back. But it’s not a regular thing. Here’s hoping that trend is changing, as I suspect there are a few interesting things in the archive.
Not sure if this is an archive piece or something inspired by the label’s archive. It could pass as a vintage piece and would fit nicely in my top 10 cycling tops round-up (when I update it).
Designed for casual wear rather than actual bike wear (it’s a regular fit), it has the classic Trefoil logo and a premium version too in metallic gold. As you can see, it’s a short sleeve top, made of wool, and with a half-zip collar for a cycling-style look.
A blue finish, with contrasting stripes in white and red, as well as a paler blue. That’s pretty much it.
The top has just arrived at Adidas and seems to be available only directly from its website for £100. All sizes are currently in stock.
