Based on the first one ever made, Baracuta has launched an individually numbered G9 Harrington Jacket.
Which means it is both a limited edition and a collector’s item. Yes, you will pay more for this than your average Baracuta Harrington. But it might well appreciate in value too, with just 100 being produced and sold worldwide.
The G9 Original Kit includes a limited-edition G9 Premium Jacket made in the UK, the G9 Harrington Book, plus a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
All of which you can see above. The colour is described as natural, and as it’s a faithful replica of the original jacket, all the details are based on the original design. I believe the first one appeared way back in 1937. Yes, a much older design than you might have expected.
Those original details include an umbrella back yoke, a ribbed tone-on-tone Dog Ear collar with a double button closure in personalised Baracuta buttons, a two-way logoed zip, raglan sleeves for extra movement, two diagonal frontal pockets with a single button closure, ribbed tone-on-tone cuffs and waistband, an internal pocket in external cloth with personalised Baracuta button closure, and a Fraser Tartan lining in 100% Cotton.
It has just launched, and all sizes are available. But you are looking at £570 if you want one.
