Just spotted these Ben Sherman 1960s button-through polo shirts, which are new additions to the longstanding retailer’s range.
Known officially as the Long Sleeve Mod Button Thru Polo, this is a new design and knit in two colour options, with a design very much rooted in the 1960s.
It reminds me a bit of the (popular) knitted shirts at Pretty Green https://www.modculture.co.uk/marriott-style-knitted-shirts-return-to-pretty-green/ from last year, with a similar button front, collar and stripe detail. Similar, but not the same, either in terms of the colours or the stripes. But you get the idea.
Made from what’s described as a ‘premium cotton fabric’, it has six-button fastening, a ‘classic’ fit, a plain back and best of all, no obvious branding. Nothing against Ben Sherman, but with knitwear like this, I would prefer it wasn’t spoilt by a large label or tag.
Sizes are from XS right through to 3XL an the price of each one is £80.
